The cosmetics manufacturer - limited liability company SIA “H.A.Brieger”, registration number: 41503040345, having its registered seat at: Malu Street 30, Riga, Latvia, LV-1058, hereinafter – “H.A.Brieger”, has set up this online store, hereinafter – “Dzintars E-store/Website”, to offer its customers a convenient and safe online marketplace for purchasing products manufactured by H.A. Brieger – body, face, hair care and bath products, oral care and other cosmetics products, hereinafter - “Cosmetics Product/-s” or “Article/-es”.

The terms and conditions of Dzintars online store, hereinafter – “The Terms and Conditions” apply to all users of the Website, and by accessing the Dzintars E-store and/or by placing an order and/or purchasing any Articles at the Dzintars E-store you, hereinafter – “the Customer” or “You” agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below.

These Terms and Conditions are binding between H.A.Brieger as the manufacturer and vendor of the cosmetics articles offered at Dzintars E-store and the Customer. The Terms and Conditions are published on the Website and a link thereto is also contained in order confirmation e-mails sent to Customers.

H.A.Brieger reserves the right to change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions. Please check these Terms and Conditions for any changes prior to using Dzintars E-store.

For any Customer who is treated a consumer under the applicable Latvian laws, when placing an order with Dzintars E-store and when purchasing any cosmetics products, such mutual agreement on the purchase of cosmetics products constitutes a distance contract that is governed by the Consumer Rights Protection Law and the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations of Latvia “Regarding Distance Contracts”. The distance contract on the purchase of cosmetics articles between H.A. Brieger and the Customer placing the order and purchasing the Articles at e-commerce site in accordance with these Terms and Conditions shall be regarded as duly entered into upon payment for the respective Articles without drafting any separate distance contract.

The following sections of Dzintars E-Store: “Deliveries and Returns” and “Privacy Policy” are substantial and integral components of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Purchase of H.A.Brieger Products

Information on A.Brieger cosmetics products currently in stock is provided on Dzintars E-store and is updated on a regular basis.

You may purchase the available A.Brieger cosmetics products at Dzintars E-store for personal use or for another recipient/recipients indicated by you.

We deliver the cosmetics articles purchased at Dzintars E-store in the entire territory of Latvia and abroad (please, be informed that we do not deliver to all countries). For more detailed information on the shipment of goods purchased at Dzintars E-store in Latvia and abroad please read - “SHIPPING AND RETURNS”.

The Website contains a description of each product that is available on Dzintars E-store to inform you on the main qualities and ingredients of the specific product and to provide other information regarding the product to make it easier for you to choose a beauty product that suits you. We have made every effort to give a possibly precise description of our products, however in case of minor changes that do not affect the main qualities of the product, H.A.Brieger may introduce such changes gradually and therefore does not guarantee that the provided information will at all times fully disclose all qualities of the product that is currently in stock.

The prices that are displayed at Dzintars E-store at the moment of confirming the Customer’s order shall constitute the effective prices for your purchase.

Nevertheless, if after receipt of your order we will detect that the price displayed on the Dzintars E-store at the moment you placed the order, differs from the correct price of the cosmetics product that is in effect at the given period of time, we will contact you and request you to cancel the order due to a pricing error and in the event we will be unable to contact you – the order will be cancelled in full and we will refund you all payments made for the order.

All prices and product availability at Dzintars E-store are subject to change and H.A.Brieger retains the right to introduce such changes without notice. The product prices displayed on the Website are quoted in EUR and are VAT inclusive. Depending on your location, the prices on Dzintars E-store may be quoted in the official currency of that country.

The shipping costs are not included in the price and are estimated before completing the order, depending on the selected delivery option, your location, and the selected place of delivery.

The total order price, including all duties and taxes and delivery charges is presented before entering into the distance contract. In case the shipment costs or postal charges cannot be calculated in advance (e.g. for shipping overseas) you will be accordingly informed that such fees can be potentially charged.

3. Placement of Orders

In order to make a purchase at Dzintars E-store and to enter into a distance contract with H.A.Brieger on the purchase of cosmetics articles from Dzintars E-store, you require to be issued a valid debit or credit card or have a bank account.

The legal representatives, for example, parents or guardians are responsible for any purchases and payments associated therewith, made at Dzintars E-store by individuals lacking the capacity to contract or the legal capacity, and no purchases will be cancelled and no payments refunded on that basis.


When placing an order, you have the opportunity to create a wish list of cosmetic products available in the Dzintars e-store, save your payment information for future purchases when making a purchase and send your feedback on the cosmetic products purchased in the Dzintars e-store.

To make the browsing through the Website easier, we have listed our products by category. To find the right product, the Customer may use the product search option that is available for all product categories.

After selecting the desired products and adding to the Shopping Cart, the Customer can review and change the items placed in the Shopping Cart or their quantities prior to processing to checkout.

To complete the order, click “Proceed to checkout”, select one of the offered delivery options and enter the required information: name, surname, delivery address, phone number and your e-mail address for order status updates. The shipping costs are given for each shipping method.

The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided for order processing and delivery purposes, otherwise we do not guarantee fulfilment and delivery of your order.

Prior to completing any order, we will request you to confirm that you have read and agree to H.A.Brieger Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions (distance contract).

To confirm the order by selecting “Confirm and Pay” you will have to choose one of the offered payment methods. By confirming the order, the Customer commits to pay for the ordered cosmetics products.

A confirmation email will be sent to the Customer after the payment is made. In case you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, contact our Customer Service Team.

The placement of an order shall be regarded to constitute the Customer’s offer for the vendor to enter into a distance contract on the delivery of the ordered cosmetics products in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Customer’s consent to purchase the ordered products for the given price

We retain the right to cancel the order in case of failed payment or if the ordered product is not available or no longer in stock.

The fulfilment of any orders placed at Dzintars E-store depends on product availability. If the ordered item is out of stock, we will immediately notify the Customer thereof to agree on the best solution – ship the ordered item within a reasonable term or cancel and refund the order.

4. Personal Data Processing

The handling and processing of our Customers’ personal data is subject to our Privacy Policy. For further information please see Dzintars E-store “Privacy Policy” here.

H.A.Brieger ensures that all Customers’ personal data are processed safely and strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable data protection regulations.

All orders placed by our Customers are registered and stored at H.A.Brieger Dzintars E-store database.

Basic principles of customer data processing: 

  • Information regarding use of your personal data is provided in the PRIVACY POLICY
  • To fulfil any orders placed by you with Dzintars E-store on the basis of the executed distance contract, H.A.Brieger has to collect and process the personal data presented in the order. For entering into the distance contract, you have to input your personal data in the cosmetics product order form.

Any Customer who has purchased cosmetics products from Dzintars E-store may rate the products or write a product review. The product rating will be automatically added to the overall rating of the specific product. Customer reviews (heading and text) may be used and added to the specific product or presented in a separate section.

You may subscribe to H.A.Brieger newsletter, inter alia receive information on promotional offers and special sale items.

5. Payment

Dzintars E-store accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit Card

The processing of card data and payments is carried out by Luminor Bank AS; we accept the following payment cards: Visa, Mastercard.

  • Online banking

After confirmation of the order, Dzintars E-store redirects the Customer to the available online banking platforms for the Customer to authorize and make the payment.

We work with Luminor Bank AS, Swedbank, Citadele, SEB Banka.

After completing the payment, Dzintars E-store offers the Customer to return to the online store.

H.A.Brieger treats your payment data security seriously and to ensure online payment security, uses data security systems which correspond to international safety standards and ensure encryption of Customer payment data.

6. Delivery

Dzintars E-store makes deliveries in accordance with its delivery terms that are available under the section “Deliveries and Returns” here. The terms of delivery set out the available shipment methods, delivery charges and time and the terms of free delivery on orders over a certain amount.

The average delivery of orders in the territory of the Republic of Latvia is 3 to 5 business days after receipt of the payment, however H.A.Brieger retains the right to deliver the goods within 10 (ten) days, as the delivery time may change depending on the availability of products at the warehouse and other circumstances (e.g. at busy times the orders may take longer, e.g. during sales auctions, pre-holiday sales, due to overload of postal/express delivery services etc.).

The orders are shipped to the address given by the Customer when confirming the order. The shipment costs are estimated on the basis of the service rates of delivery service providers. The Customer must pay the delivery charges simultaneously with the payment for the order, prior to receipt of the order confirmation and delivery of the cosmetics products. The delivery charges are included in the invoice/bill for the ordered items.

7. Returns Policy

H.A.Brieger will always do its best to ensure that the products ordered by the Customer arrive in perfect condition.

Where the products received by the Customer are faulty or damaged or do not correspond to the order (wrong item) for solving this issue we recommend you to immediately take a picture of the product and mail it, together with the description of the problem to our Customer Service Team at:, for us to deal with this issue. H.A.Brieger may contact you for additional information. If the complaint is justified, you can return the item, except for cases when the item was purchased more than 14 days before.

If the received items do not match your order, the Customer may request replacement of the products with those ordered by the Customer within 14 days after delivery. In such a case the delivery costs associated with such replacement are covered by H.A.Brieger.

Upon return of a faulty, damaged, or wrong item or replacement of the latter, a full refund will be paid including any postage or a replacement will be sent. In such a case we will cover the costs of returning the item (or we will organize the return of the item at our expense).

8. Complaints

Any complaints on the noncompliance of the cosmetics products with the terms of the distance contract or other breach of the distance contract can be submitted electronically to Customer complaints are handled within 10 business days after receipt by sending the response to the e-mail address indicated in the complaint.

If we find the complaint unfounded and the Customer does not agree with that, the Customer may seek resolution of the complaint in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the Consumer Rights Protection Law. In such a case the Customer has to file with us a written application on out-of-court dispute resolution by specifying his/her name, surname, contact details, date of the application, the substance of the dispute, his/her claim, and its substantiation.

9. Right of Withdrawal

The Customer may exercise the right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Protection Law and cancel the order within 14 days without specifying the grounds for such cancellation. The right of withdrawal expires within 14 days after the goods get into the possession of the buyer or any third person specified by the Customer that is not the carrier.

To avoid any disputes, the Customer has to check compliance of the received cosmetics products with the order (items, name of the goods, volume, colour, other important elements) upon delivery.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer has to comply with the following principles:

  • The ordered cosmetics product may be returned under the right of withdrawal if it is unopened and unused. If the cosmetics product has been opened after delivery (including outer original packaging) no return of the item is possible due to hygiene considerations.
  • The Customer may not exercise the right of withdrawal in case the condition of the returnable product has deteriorated due to improper storage or damage (including outer original packaging).
  • The withdrawal period expires within 14 days after the goods get into the possession of the Customer or any third person specified by the Customer that is not the carrier.

To use the right of withdrawal, the Customer has to clearly notify us (e.g. to the Customer Service e-mail given below) on his/her intention to withdraw from the distance contract and enclose thereto a copy of the document confirming his/her purchase. The notice may be also submitted using the withdrawal form that can be found here.

To ensure that the withdrawal period is respected, the notification on the use of the right of withdrawal must be sent to H.A.Brieger before expiry of the withdrawal period.

Please, remember that the right of withdrawal cannot be used by a person which does not qualify as a consumer, including legal entities.

10. Consequences of Withdrawal

If the distance contract is terminated, we will refund your order in full including any postage (except for any charges incurred because the Customer has opted for a shipment method that is not among the conventional shipment methods offered by Dzintars E-store, e.g. express delivery) without unreasonable delay and in any case not later than within 14 days after receipt of the Customer’s notice of withdrawal from the distance contract.

We will refund to the original payment method used to place the order subject to the withdrawal, unless otherwise expressly consented by the Customer. In any case you will not be subject to any charge in connection with such refund.

Please note, we reserve the right to await receipt of the returned products or a confirmation from the Customer that the products are being returned, whichever is earlier, before issuing your refund.

The products must be returned without unreasonable delay and in any case not later than within 14 days after the Customer gives the notice of withdrawal from the distance contract. We will assume that the Customer has respected the timeline, if the products are returned to H.A.Brieger before the expiry of the 14 day period.

Please retain the delivery note confirming receipt of the products issued by the delivery service and the proof of postage issued by the postal service/courier for the return of the products to H.A.Brieger.

Any direct expenses associated with the return of the products are at the expense of the Customer.

You may return the products by mail or delivery service (courier). Please package your product(s) safely to avoid any damage during the return. We recommend using a postal or delivery service that provides insurance and tracking of parcels.

In case the distance contract is terminated and/or the products are returned to H.A.Brieger, the Customer must also return any gift received for placing the order or refund the price thereof, except for cases when the Customer has explicitly refused the gift upon placing the order. The gift must be returned unused and unboxed (in the original packaging). In case the gift is not returned, the Customer must compensate for the value of the gift in accordance with the price of the given cosmetics product set by H.A.Brieger.

11. Our Products

The products sold at Dzintars E-store are intended for personal use. The Customer is not allowed to resell any products purchased from Dzintars E-store. H.A.Brieger reserves the right to refuse any order you place with us or to cancel or limit the quantities purchased by a Customer with/without a notice, if we have reasonable grounds to consider that the order is intended for resale.

The products sold at Dzintars E-store are not food products and are not intended for nutritional uses. The design of H.A.Brieger cosmetics products, including odour, colour, shape and packaging is designed to avoid any confusion with food and not to jeopardize consumers’ health or safety.

The cosmetics products manufactured by H.A.Brieger and sold at Dzintars E-store are safe for human health, are manufactured in compliance with good manufacturing practices and satisfy the requirements of the Latvian Law on the Safety of Goods and Services and that of the Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and the Council on cosmetic products, and other requirements applicable to the manufacturing of beauty and cosmetics products.


The content of Dzintars E-store and other information displayed therein are the property of H.A.Brieger that is protected under the intellectual property laws of the Republic of Latvia and international intellectual property laws.

You may copy or reproduce the content of Dzintars E-store for personal use only and in case you specify the website of Dzintars E-store as the source of such information.

13. Liability

If you register with our Website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, user’s data, and other actions, including the data transferred by you when placing an order with Dzintars E-store. If the services of Dzintars E-store are used by any third person through the Customer’s registration data, we will assume that the data are transferred and used by the Customer him/herself. In case you have lost your login details (username and/or password) you can reset the lost information at the site entrance section for Registered Users or calling the Customer Service at: +371 20042863.

The personal information which you are required to provide when you register as a Customer must be true and accurate and in case of any changes in your provided data (contact details) please update your account page information accordingly.

14. Amendments and Changes

H.A.Brieger reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon posting such changes on the Website. The date of the last update is given at the end of these Terms and Conditions. To keep yourself informed on any changes in these Terms and Conditions, please check the Terms and Conditions section time to time to be sure that you have read the current version of these Terms.
